Libra Full Moon | Mid April 2022

Rhododendron forest on an afternoon in May, Rhode Island | 35 mm double exposure

The moon will reach its peak fullness in the sign of Libra early Saturday morning, eastern time. A mirror held out to us, calling for reflection. With the full moon squaring Pluto, planet of transformation, of decay of the old, of power, we can more clearly see what shadowy, hidden habits, ways of being, are asking to be released at this time so that we may move forward with less weight strapped to our backs. Saturn also offers support to us this day, giving us the boundaries and structures we need to evolve, though he still squares the nodes of the moon, and could be confused for a place of backsliding if we aren’t bringing awareness to where he is moving through our chart.

The watery energy of planets continuing to move through Pisces, along with the further movement of the South Node into Scorpio trining, both, Jupiter and Neptune, now, this last week has both felt magical and strenuous, like wading through thick mud at sunset. We’ve had to choose between forcing precious energy on forging ever so slow movement ahead, or, for allowing for rest, communion with something outside of ourselves. Paying keen attention to our dreams, exploring our minds, our ambitions, our creativity, we’ve been asked to pause, awaiting the green light to make any further moves.
