Today, 10 July 2025, at 1637 Est the moon reaches its peak fullness in the sign of Capricorn at 18°50'. In this sign, the moon is not entirely comfortable, while it’s ruler, Saturn, finds itself equally uncomfortable while transiting the sign of Aries.
Today’s moon is making a trine to Mars. Typically this aspect would indicate clear and concise action toward one’s desires, courage, and bold initiative. However, with consideration of the place of this particular moon and its current ruler, there is a push to slow down before taking any decisive action. Saturn, on top of being in its sign of fall, is conjunct the planet Neptune who brings a fog or lack of clarity to any decisive action that Saturn may desire to take.

With the moon reaching its peak fullness in gate 54.4, the gate of Ambition; enlightenment/endarkenment, there is a clear call to act with intention and consideration of others, and not solely for one’s own benefit. Taking a look at our desires and asking ourselves if there is a greater need, outside of ourselves, that would benefit from the manifestation of them. The question must be asked, are you, yourself, doing in the world what you would like to see the world do for you?
In these late degrees of the second decan of Capricorn the moon will find itself governed by both Mars and Venus. Here there is motivation to act from a place of leadership. What does that leadership look like? What responsibility does that position hold, especially from a place of integrity and productive contribution to the collective?
