Taurus New Moon; Spring 2025

There is an energy in the air that has recently shown itself repeatedly, one that is of a soon approaching turning point in which we’ve been sitting with growing desire to fulfill dreams or goals or aspirations in an area of our life for some weeks now. There’s been a strange pause, Aries season was not it’s normal initiatory time, but instead, we’d been asked to reflect on what has existed in order to take a step forward with clear intentionality and a hardy backbone. A well structured plan under our feet and an understanding of what hasn’t been working for us.

The sun moves into 24.1 today where the moon soon joins it. This gate and line speak to transformation and renewal, but manifestation can only occur so long as we remain humble and reflect on what has and hasn’t worked previously.

This new moon on Sunday, the 27th, at 1531 EST happens at 7°46’ of Taurus. It is ruled, both in sign and bound, by Venus who has been dancing with strict, structured Saturn. This combination can bring balance to the two, Venus in her exaltation is dreamy and hopeful, where Saturn brings structure and consideration of the long-term, the groundedness needed to make a dream material. An energy that is mirrored in the fixed star Schedir, who sits at 7°47’ of Taurus, of the nature of Venus and Saturn. Much like the first decan of Taurus in which it sits, Schedir offers great leadership qualities, so long as they don’t let the power and fortune get to their head. If a humble heart is not maintained, much can be lost. Taurus (especially this first decan), however, knows how to make use of what it’s offered and can trod along steadily toward a goal.

The new moon is offering us this moment of renewal, after we’ve sat in the pause, with bated breath, allowing our desire to build, our dreams to find roots, our ambitions to seek structure.
